LUSOCRISTAL has as its primary objective the implementation of Food Safety Management System based on the Principals of HACCP


LUSOCRISTAL has senior consultants with more than 30 years of international experience in the hotel, restaurant, and retail and distribution business.


On the 1st January 2006 the Regulation (CE) 852/2004 of 29 April which establishes regulations regarding hygiene of general foodstuffs came into force.

 

At the same time A.S.A.E. – Autoridade de Segurança Alimentar e Económica (the Portuguese Food and Economic Authority) was commissioned to control the implementation of HACCP based systems and, through Decreto-Lei 113/2006 of 12 July, ensure that the obligations of the Regulation (CE) 852/2004 were applied in Portugal.

 

By bringing together the legal requirements and applying both HACCP principals as well as 4C’s process as recommended by the Food Standards Agency in England, LUSUCRISTAL created a simplified system for the implementation and monitoring of food safety risk management.


The ForeSee Food Safety system, through the implementation of common standards, auditing and Benchmarking system, allow our clients to compare food hygiene levels between different areas, departments, responsibilities, units, geographic regions and countries.  

 

LUSOCRISTAL maintains close relationships with the Portuguese authorities and is the partner with the Portuguese Hotel Association.
